Privacy policy

The protection of your information and of your privacy is very important to us.

What data we gather routinely

During your use of this website various data is collected routinely such as your IP address, which identifies you as a unique user of our website, what pages are visited by each user and so on. This data does not identify you as a person, only as an anonymous user and in no way does this breach your privacy.

This data is gathered only to analyse trends in the traffic on our website to help us improve our site.

Other data gathered

If you use our contact form you might provide us with certain pieces of information such as your name and email address, and optionally other items such as a phone number. This data is transmitted through the internet to our various staff.

Only we have access to this data and these messages and we will not publish your details or your message without your prior consent. These messages are kept in a secure system and we have taken many precautions to ensure they are safe.

Our supporters registration form asks for a considerable amount of information, but most fields are optional. This information is briefly stored in a secure database online before it is downloaded through a secure connection and stored in a database offline. It is then erased from the online version.

This database is held on a secure, private server which is not directly connected to the internet. Every effort is made to ensure the information is safe and once we have finished using the information, we will erase it and take steps to ensure the data is irrecoverable.

How we use data provided to us

Aside from our routine traffic monitoring, we only collect data that has been volunteered by the user.

Messages sent through our contact form are retained for a period of 6 months. After this period we will delete the message unless we need to retain it for some reason. For example, if a person has contacted us with a query to which we have not yet fully answered satisfactorily, we will retain the message until we have done so.

Such messages are regarded by us as private correspondence between yourself and our organisation. We will not publish these messages unless we are required to by a court order. If we wish to publish them we will ask for explicit written permission and consent from yourself before we do so.

Personal details provided by supporters through our supporters registration form will only be used by our organisation to contact you. We will not share or sell this information with any third party without your prior permission or a court order.
