Gloucester Independents is a group that promotes the work and campaigns of independent political candidates and campaigners in Gloucester.

We were established in January 2009 by Faye Elliot, a campaigner who highlights the challenges faced by many pensioners, Phil Jordan, a local firefighter and independent campaigner in Tuffley and Podsmead, and Alex McKee a passionate advocate of local democracy and campaigner in Matson.

Our aims

As we enter our second year, we intend to fight the corner of the ordinary residents of the city. Our aim is to help rejuvenate Gloucester and help it to become a city of excellence.

What we’re about

The Gloucester Independents are a forum for the discussion of progressive thinking to meet the needs of modern Gloucester and will campaign and organise on issues such as improvement in living standards and quality of life for all, investment in public amenities and safety for Gloucester residents from crime; equality for all and support for Gloucester as a multicultural city.
